The “E-Mongolia Academy” and the General Department of Customs are gradually implementing the transition to paperless technology

The “E-Mongolia Academy” continues to organize a series of meetings aimed at strengthening inter-agency cooperation, enhancing the quality of digital services, and increasing the accessibility and ease of public services.

At today’s meeting (2025.05.15), N.Turbat, Head of the Training and Public Relations Department of the “E-Mongolia Academy”, and B.Munkh-Amar, Head of the Public Relations Department of the General Department of Customs, and relevant specialists, organized a joint meeting and outlined the directions for future cooperation.

Within the framework of cooperation:

  • The parties agreed to expand collaboration on preparing and distributing news and content to the public, with the aim of making 52 types of digital customs services more accessible and understandable to citizens;
  • To regularly organize training and informational sessions to improve citizens’ digital skills;
  • And to accelerate the gradual transition of the customs clearance process to paperless technology.

The digitalization of services provided by the General Department of Customs offers the following benefits:

  1. Time Savings
    • Citizens and enterprises can now complete and submit customs declarations online, eliminating the need to visit customs offices in person and saving significant time.
  2. Transparency and Reduced Risk of Corruption
    • Digital services reduce human involvement, thereby lowering the risks of corruption and bureaucratic inefficiencies.
  3. Access from Anywhere
    • With internet access, services can be used anytime, from anywhere, making them more accessible, especially for residents in remote districts and rural areas.
  4. Improved Monitoring and Record-Keeping
    • The registration of goods and history of declarations are stored in the system, making monitoring and analysis easier and offering multiple advantages.

The transition to paperless technology is creating conditions for customs services to become more accessible, efficient, and transparent, representing an important step toward bringing public services closer to the people.
