Meeting with Seungwan Che, General Director of KOTRA Ulaanbaatar, South Korea

A joint meeting was held between the “E-Mongol Academy” State-Owned Enterprise and the Immigration Agency of Mongolia with the aim of providing electronic services that meet the needs and requirements of foreign nationals residing in Mongolia, improving the accessibility of these services, and achieving this goal

The digitalization of services at the Immigration Agency of Mongolia has significantly improved operational efficiency and accessibility. By integrating these services into the unified E-Mongolia system, the number of individuals requiring in-person visits has dropped from 240-520 per day to just 5-8. Previously, the agency processed 100-150 service requests manually, but now it handles 700-1100 requests digitally. As a result, the time taken to process service requests has been reduced from 5-10 days to just 3 days, ensuring quicker and more convenient services for citizens. This shift not only improves service delivery but also enhances the overall experience for the public, making government services more accessible and responsive.

This achievement not only reflects the digital transformation of the specific sector but also stands as a significant part of a broader strategic shift to promote and raise international awareness of Mongolia. Moving forward, there are plans to enhance cooperation with both government and non-governmental organizations to progressively implement more accessible and citizen-centered electronic services.

The meeting was attended by B. Myagmarnaran, Director of the "E-Mongol Academy" state owned enterprise; N. Turbat, Director of the Training and Public Relations Department; I. Baatarkhü, Director of the Administration and Management Department of the Immigration Agency of Mongolia, as well as relevant officials. The parties agreed to develop a plan to further improve the digital transformation of services provided by the department and enhance the efficiency of assistance provided to citizens. For example, foreign nationals can now access E-Mongolia to view maps of their place of residence or travel destinations, obtain address certificates, and for those wishing to establish a business or invest in Mongolia, they can create legal entities, submit permit requests electronically, and monitor their company information, thus saving both time and money. This digital transformation offers citizens numerous benefits, including savings in time and costs, while making government services faster and more accessible.

Thank you for your attention!
