The E-Mongolia system offers electronic access to 1,263 services across 87 organizations

Participated in the discussion on "Ensuring the right to know in the e-environment"

The Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO in cooperation with the Anti-Corruption Agency, Globe International Center, Open Society Forum and IFEX International NGO, have organized a discussion on "Ensuring the right to know in the e-environment" on the occasion of the International Day of Universal Access to Information on 28 September, 2023.

More than 50 participants who are representing the government, civil society, media, and researchers participated in this event and discussed the solutions about "Ensuring the right to know in the e-environment".

At the discussion, representatives of the Ministry of Digital development and communications, the Anti-Corruption Agency and Lut-Ochir Vanganjil , Director of the Department of Digital literacy of the "E-Mongolia Academy" SOE gave a speech on the topic of "Citizens' digital literacy - Information Education".

The United Nations (UN) recognized the importance of the right to access to information at the 74th session of the General Assembly, and, at the UN level, September 28 was officially declared as the International Day of the Universal Right to Information in October 2019. 

UNESCO highlighted the theme of this year as "The Role of the E-Environment in Accessing Information". In today's era of rapid development of digital technology, using the Internet as a tools of obtaining and disseminating information, it is highlighted that it can be the main measures of exercising one’s right to express opinion, get an education, unite, participate in society, culture, and politics, as well as protect one's health, work, and develop right.
