In recent days, severe cold weather, icy road conditions, and reduced visibility in some regions have created difficult and hazardous weather conditions.
Research shows that providing information about dangerous weather phenomena 24 hours in advance can reduce potential risks and damage by up to 30 percent. United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has launched an initiative to ensure that every person in the world is protected by early warning systems for climate-, water-, and weather-related hazards by the end of 2027, calling on all countries to develop affordable and reliable solutions.
Accordingly, the E-Mongolia Academy has been implementing phased measures to rapidly deliver warning information to citizens through all available channels. Citizens can now access weather information, flood alerts, and water level information through the E-Mongolia application.
Specifically, from the main page of the E-Mongolia application, users can access five-day weather forecasts, wind speed and wind direction, humidity and air pressure information, precipitation data, river water levels, flood level exceedance information and alerts on dangerous weather phenomena.
In addition, citizens traveling on national and local paved roads are advised to remain cautious, check the technical condition of their vehicles in advance, regularly follow weather forecasts, and take preventive measures against possible risks while participating in road traffic.
