The E-Mongolia system, initiated by the Government of Mongolia in 2019 with the goal of fully digitizing public services, has grown into the country’s largest national digital platform, offering citizens easy, fast, and transparent access to government services. Officially launched on October 1, 2020, with 181 services from 23 organizations, the system has since expanded significantly. Today, it delivers 1,264 services from 88 government agencies, and as of now, the number of registered users has reached 2 million.
Tsogtbayar Egshiglen, age 17, has been recognized as the 2 millionth user of the E-Mongolia system. She is a 12th-grade student at “Naran” General Education School and is currently preparing for university entrance exams with the goal of pursuing higher education abroad. On April 12, 2025, she downloaded the E-Mongolia app on her mobile phone, created a new account, and her first service request was for a reference on civil criminal record.
She said: “I am planning to study abroad, and when I heard I could get the most essential documents through the E-Mongolia system, I decided to become a user. I really liked how quick and smooth the process was, there were no issues at all. Honestly, I never imagined I’d become the 2 millionth user. When I first heard the news, I couldn’t believe it, but I was incredibly happy. What I like most is that I can access the services I need anytime, from anywhere, while saving time. Even my family, school administrators, and classmates congratulated me. I really feel lucky.”
The E-Mongolia Academy officially met with the 2 millionth user and presented her with a valuable gift and a token of appreciation, wishing her great success in her studies and future endeavors.
Aiming to increase digital engagement among citizens and deliver public services in a more accessible and user-friendly way, the E-Mongolia system continues to expand, gaining an average of over 17,000 new users every month, improving the success of the nation’s digital transition each day. As of April 2025, a total of 7,245 new users have registered with the system.
Moving forward, the phased development and implementation of AI-based recommendation systems, automated responders, and advanced data analytics solutions mark a significant step toward further enhancing e-governance.
