The E-Mongolia system offers electronic access to 1,263 services across 87 organizations

Mongolia has advanced 28 places in the “E-Government Index”

The E-Government Development Index (EDGI) shows the state of e-government development in the United Nations member states by evaluating a country’s e-government model, including factors such as infrastructure and education levels, as well as how information technology is used to support citizen access and participation.

The United Nations updates the “E-Government Development Index” every two years. Mongolia was ranked 92th in 2018 and 2020, and 74th in 2022 out of 193 UN member countries. In 2024, Mongolia advanced 28 places, reaching 46th place. The online service index was 0.5294 in 2020, 0.6263 in 2022, and 0.8222 in 2024.

This index has been researched and published by and external team for over a year, taking into account the development of the country’s communication infrastructure, the number of e-government services, citizen’s E-Skills indicators, human resources development, e-participation, the legal environment, long-term national policies and factors such as digital development policies, strategies, and transparency.

We would like to thank all the citizens who have used the integrated public service system E-Mongolia over the past two years and supported e-governance. Congratulations as well to those in the industry who continuously introduce new technologies and innovations!

Thank you for your attention!
