“E-Mongolia Academy” a state-owned enterprise, under the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Communication has initiated the “National Campaign for Electronic Skills” to enhance digital literacy, reduce the digital divide, and prepare citizens for the ongoing digital transition.
As part of this initiative, “E-Mongolia Academy” a state-owned enterprise, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Mongolian Seniors Association on September 24, 2024, to improve digital skills among senior citizens. The agreement was signed by B.Myagmarnaran, Director of “E-Mongolia Academy” a state-owned enterprise, and Ts.Sukhbaatar, President of the Mongolian Seniors Association.
Key points of the Memorandum include:
• Co-organizing training programs, seminars, and conferences focused on Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) for senior citizens in Ulaanbaatar and rural areas.
• Conducting regular digital skills training and events led by trained instructors, aimed at enhancing the digital literacy of elderly citizens both in urban and local communities, while actively collaborating on initiatives to reduce the digital divide.
• A commitment to training at least 30 instructors to support the development of digital skills among senior citizens.
