According to research by the National Statistics Committee, in the first half of 2024, 1.3 million children, or 36,3% of the total population in Mongolia, were aged 0 to 17 years old. Of these children, 51.4% were boys, and 48.6% were girls.
There are 21,277 sets of twins in the country, including 20852 pairs of twin, 402 sets op triplets and 23 sets of quadruplets or more.
In accordance with Government Resolution No. 13, dated 24 November 2012, families with twins underage of four receive a 1 million MNT allowance for each child, and families with triplets under the age of four receive a 3 million MNT allowance for each child, once time.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the twin child allowance service has been digitized.
