According to research from the National Statistics Office of Mongolia for the first half of 2024, children aged 0 to 17 total 1.3 million, comprising 36.3 percent of our country's population. Among these children, 51.4 percent are male and 48.6 percent are female.
In Mongolia, there are 21,277 sets of twins, including 20,852 pairs of twins, 402 sets of triplets, and 23 sets of quadruplets or more.
Government Resolution No. 134, dated November 24, 2012, specifies that each twin child under the age of four will receive one million MNT, and each triplet child under the age of four will receive three million MNT once in their lifetime.
The twin child support service has been digitized in partnership with the General Office for Labour and Welfare Services.
The service includes:
- • Allowances for families and citizens with twin children up to 4 years old.
- • Allowance services for families and citizens who have successfully given birth to and are raising three or more sets of twins under the age of 4 can be accessed through the integrated state service system E-Mongolia.
