The “365 - Let’s Build a Save Future” public awareness and influence campaign, aimed at preventing peer bullying, crime, and violations affecting children and adolescents in both digital and physical environments, was successfully implemented nationwide over the course of one month.
The campaign was jointly organized by the General Police Department of Mongolia, the E-Mongolia Academy, and the Capital City Crime Prevention Coordinating Sub-Council under the slogan “We Can Build a Bully-Free Society.” The initiative implemented a range of comprehensive activities focused on increasing awareness of child protection, cybersecurity, and responsible digital usage.
As part of the campaign, the E-Mongolia Academy organized classroom training sessions for a total of 5,779 students from 10 general education schools. The training covered topics including:
- Basic understanding of the digital environment
- Protection of personal information
- Risks children may face online
- Prevention methods
- Responsible use of digital platforms
In addition, 800 students participated in online “Digital Ambassador” training programs aimed at developing children and adolescents into positive influencers promoting responsible digital behavior. As a result, more than 6,000 children and students participated in the overall campaign.
The campaign was notable because it went beyond simply sharing information and instead focused on creating long-term positive changes in the attitudes and development of children and young people. During the campaign period, government and private sector organizations, educational institutions, parents, and guardians actively participated, expanding the scope of collaboration.
In observance of the “Day Against Corporal Punishment of Children,” a unified conference was also organized at the State Palace with participation from more than 800 students, teachers, social workers, and parent representatives from general education schools.
During the conference, participants completed a survey aimed at identifying the necessity and demand for a “Law on Protecting Children in the Digital Environment.” Specialists in child protection, education, psychology, and cybersecurity delivered presentations and discussions. Participants also openly exchanged ideas and recommendations regarding strengthening intersectoral cooperation in child protection and developing practical solutions and collaborative approaches to preventing risks in the digital environment. Drawing upon its experience in digital public services and digital education, the E-Mongolia Academy placed special emphasis on delivering accessible knowledge about child protection, cybersecurity, and responsible digital use. Preventive activities involving children, parents, teachers, and educators were implemented gradually and systematically.
Today, while the digital environment provides broad opportunities for children’s education and development, inappropriate use and lack of supervision continue to increase risks such as cyber harassment, peer bullying, and psychological harm. Therefore, cooperation among families, schools, government institutions, and the public remains critically important.
For this reason, the “365 - Let’s Build a Save Future” campaign will continue sustainably in the future by promoting child protection, digital education, and a culture of responsible digital use, while implementing phased activities aimed at ensuring every child can grow and develop in a safe and positive environment.
