The Government of Mongolia has discussed and approved the “Total area, location, and purpose of land to be allocated for ownership to citizens of Mongolia.” According to the decision, a total of 926.38 hectares of land will be granted to 8,348 citizens for ownership in 2025. As a result, citizens now could acquire land ownership in the provinces, capital city, soums, and districts specified in the approved locations.
Citizens can access 11 types of services provided by the General Authority for Land Administration geodesy and cartography through the E-Mongolia system.
These services include:
- Request for landownership for first time
- Land possession certificate inquiry
- Land possession rights inquiry
- Special permit for land own and use
- Inquiry on court decisions related to land ownership, possession, or usage rights
- Cadastral Land Parcel Description
- Act of land payment and settlement
- Special permit to provide services in geodesy and cartography production
- Inquiry on starting price for land parcel auctions
- Reference on the valuation of the land
- Request to obtain a reference for the land use agreement with individuals or legal entities
To access these services, citizens must log into the E-Mongolia system using their personal account and enter the name of the service in the “Search Services” section.
Previously, obtaining documents such as land use and possession agreements, certificates, cadastral maps, and approvals required the signatures of 8 to 10 government officials. However, with the digitalization of these services, the land use and possession process has been simplified, it reduces the procedures, enables citizens to receive government services more quickly and efficiently, and allows government agencies to exchange, compile, and verify land-related information electronically instead of on paper.
