It has been a while since the “Medical appointment booking and cancelation” service was available directly from the E-Mongolia system, to provide accessible and fast public services. Previously, citizens had to visit in person to get a queue number for medical appointments.
As of now, 73 public and private hospitals are connected to the E-Mongolia system, and the online appointment booking service has been used a total of 1,264,793 times.
Although the medical appointment booking service has been digitized, it is still common for citizens to miss or be late for their scheduled appointments. According to research, around 40% of those who book appointments do not show up for their medical checkup.
This not only affects the individual but also disrupts the operations of healthcare institutions and causes difficulties for other citizens who require urgent medical attention.
Therefore, if you have scheduled an appointment but are unable to attend on time:
- Log in using your E-Mongolia account;
- Search “cancel medical appointment” in the search bar;
- From the cancellation service, select the hospital where your appointment was booked;
- Choose the appointment date marked in blue and confirm the cancellation.
If a citizen has made an appointment at a medical institution but is unable to receive services at the scheduled time due to their own fault , have to pay 20,000 MNT, in accordance with Resolution No. 06 of the National Health Insurance Council dated January 1, 2024. This is intended to make citizens more responsible than a fine. Learning to cancel your appointment properly creates an opportunity for another patient to book an appointment and helps ensure the hospital operates smoothly and without delays.

Please be aware that to make an online appointment, you must have paid for your health insurance.
You should arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment and be prepared with any necessary documents or items.
If no doctor appears when selecting the appointment time and examination room, it means that all available time slots for that day are fully booked.
