Meeting with Seungwan Che, General Director of KOTRA Ulaanbaatar, South Korea

A meeting was organized with the General Police Department to discuss enhancing the accessibility and efficiency of government services, as well as to explore strategies for the prevention of crimes and offenses

On February 6, 2025, a meeting was held with the General Police Department (GPD) to discuss enhancing the accessibility and efficiency of government services. The focus was on supporting the digital transformation of government services, advancing the digitization of police operations, and integrating new technologies for future collaboration.

Attendees included Colonel O. Ganbat, Deputy Director of the Strategy, Policy, Innovation, and Development Division at the GPD, Lieutenant Colonel D. Janchivdorj, Head of the Information and Analysis Division, Lieutenant Colonel D. Munkhzul, Head of the Information Technology Division, as well as N. Turbat, Head of the Training and Public Relations Department of the "E-Mongolia Academy" state owned enterprise, and other relevant officials. The meeting facilitated the exchange of ideas on furthering cooperation between the two organizations.

Currently, the GPD provides 43 services through the E-Mongolia system. Among the top three most accessed services are:

  • • Driver’s inquiry and information: 3,342,350 requests
  • • Payment of fines for citizens, drivers, and vehicles: 781,878 requests
  • • Certificate of criminal responsibility: 635,248 requests

The digital transition of these services has significantly reduced the operational burden on the police department, enabling more efficient and timely service delivery to citizens. Discussions also centered on enhancing collaboration in crime prevention efforts and digitizing essential services and certificates that typically involve multiple steps.

Moving forward, the aim is to strengthen cooperation between government and non-government organizations and to implement a range of initiatives focused on preventing crimes and offenses, ensuring a more streamlined and accessible service experience for the public.
