On December 13, 2024, a meeting was held with Professor Seamus O Tuama from University College Cork, Ireland, organized by the Training Department of the "E-Mongolia Academy" state owned enterprise, in collaboration with the Foreign Relations and Cooperation Department. The meeting took place in Mongolia and was attended by B. Myagmarnar, Director of the "E-Mongolia Academy" state owned enterprise, G. Unurtsetseg, Head of the Foreign Relations and Cooperation Department, V. Lut-ochir, Head of the Training Department, as well as specialists from relevant departments. The discussion centered on the digitization of government services, the enhancement of citizens' digital skills, and future cooperation, experience-sharing, and professional capacity building.
A key focus of the meeting was the recognition that, while government services are increasingly being digitized, there is a continued need to enhance digital skills, particularly among adults. Professor O Tuama, Director of ACE (Adult Continuing Education) at University College Cork and has led the European Social Research, at the time the largest non-governmental social research center in Ireland. During his visit to Mongolia from December 8 to 12, 2024, he met with officials and delivered lectures at various institutions, including the Mongolian Parliament, the Education and Management Academy, the "E-Mongolia Academy" state owned enterprise, and the Mongolian State University of Education.
