Vehicle fines can be paid and checked without fees

Amendments of the Tort Law will be enforced from January 1, 2024. Following amendments have been made:

  • If the violating driver or legal entity pays the fine on time or within 15 days, a 50% discount will be made from the amount of the fine. 
  • If the driver or legal entity does not pay the fine within the period specified by law, the amount of the fine will be increased by up to 50%. 
  • The fine must be paid, if not paid, public service will be performed. 
  • If the penalty is not fulfilled within the period specified in the law, the right to move vehicles, obtain a driver's license, renew it, add a category, compensate or change the right to obtain a driver's license will be restricted. 
  • If the fine is not paid, the vehicle will not be allowed on the road. 

Fines for written vehicle violations starting January 1, 2024. Prior year penalties are not subject to the 50 percent regulated reduction. 

In this context, if the penalty is paid within the legal period (within 15 days) via the E-Mongolia platform, 50% of the amount will be discounted, and starting from the 16th day, the penalty amount will be increased by 50%.
