A few years ago, citizens were required to visit the General Authority for State Registration in person to apply for services such as national identity cards and passports, navigating through a multi-step process. However, with the country’s transition towards becoming a digital nation and the digitalization of government services, a more efficient system has been established. Through the E-Mongolia platform, citizens can now access services in a more convenient, accessible, and timely manner, without the need for physical visits. By logging into the system with their personal registration, individuals can obtain certificates and documents within a matter of seconds.
Since its establishment, the "E-Mongol Academy" state owned enterprise has worked in close collaboration with the General Authority for State Registration, progressively enhancing their partnership and digitizing 148 essential services provided to citizens by the authority.
Among these services, some have experienced particularly high demand. For example, the national identity card certificate has been requested 2,653,897 times, and the certificate of residence has been accessed 1,433,339 times through the E-Mongolia system. However, certain services remain underutilized, primarily due to insufficient awareness among citizens regarding their availability.
To address this, U. Boldkhüü, Acting Director of the General Authority for State Registration, B. Myagmarnaran, Director of the "E-Mongol Academy" state owned enterprise, and N. Turbat, Director of the Training and Public Relations Department, convened with relevant officials and staff to exchange ideas. The discussion focused on how to further strengthen cooperation, expand the range of services available to citizens, and raise awareness of the lesser-known digital services. This meeting, held on January 24, 2025, at the General Authority for State Registration, aimed to develop strategies for increasing public awareness of the full spectrum of digital services.
Moving forward, the "E-Mongol Academy" state owned enterprise will continue to organize a series of meetings to further enhance collaboration with other government and non-governmental organizations. These efforts will continue to improve accessibility, convenience, and efficiency for citizens, ensuring the ongoing expansion of digital services.
