It is possible to submit your application to become a donor through the “E-Mongolia” system

The “E-Mongolia Academy” a state-owned enterprise, has partnered with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Communication, the Financial Information Technology Center, and the Organ, Tissue, and Cell Transplantation Coordination Office to digitalize the donor application service. It is now possible to submit donor applications througj the “E-Mongolia”system.

The Organ, Tissue, and Cell Transplantation Coordination Office at the Health Development Center plays a crucial role in expanding and improving organ, tissue, and cell transplant services from deceased donors. It raises public awareness about cell, tissue, and organ donation, conducts advocacy activities, and collaborates with medical professionals and hospitals. The department is responsible for specialized training, professional development, evaluating and monitoring transplant treatment outcomes, managing a unified database related to these activities, and providing consultation services to citizens.

In Mongolia, many people are suffering from terminal diseases affecting vital organs and require life-saving organ transplants. These conditions include:

• Cirrhosis caused by hepatitis B, C, and D viruses

• Liver cancer

• Chronic kidney disease and kidney failure

• Chronic cardiovascular diseases and heart failure

• Pancreatic disorders, among others...

As a result, more than 1500 patients are currently on the waiting list for organ transplants from deceased donors. These individuals have no living family members who can donate organs, and the number of patients in need is expected to rise. Unfortunately, there is an ongoing shortage of donors.

To apply as an organ donor, please log into the E-Mongolia system, search for the “Donor Approval Application” service, fill in your details, and submit your application.
