The official integrated digital platform for government services and information, GOV.MN, has officially been launched

The integrated digital platform www.gov.mn, which consolidates the operations, news, information, and public services of all government entities in Mongolia, has been developed by the "E-Mongol Academy" state owned enterprise. Launched to the public in December 2023, it allows government agencies to begin centralizing their information. On February 10, 2025, the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Communications, Ts. Baatarkhuu, officially introduced the platform to the public.

As of January 16, 2025, Mongolia is home to 16 ministries, 37 agencies, and over 1,000 state-owned enterprises. A total of 1,441 government organizations are registered in the National Data Center, with 4,784 websites operating under the gov.mn domain.

Each year, these entities allocate a portion of their budgets for the development and maintenance of their websites. On average, a single organization spends 15,650,000 MNT annually on website-related costs, which include:

  • Web firewall – 4.320.000
  • SSL wildcard – 330.000
  • One-time web support costs – 3,000,000 to 5,000,000 MNT
  • Website updates and development – 7,000,000 MNT.

By consolidating the services and information of all these organizations under the GOV.MN platform, an estimated 28,820,000,000 MNT will be saved annually across 1,441 organizations.

The GOV.MN platform is noteworthy for providing a unified solution that not only reduces operational costs but also streamlines annual budgeting for government entities.

To date, more than 1,000 government organizations from both the capital and regional areas have adopted the platform, uploading their information using a standardized template and format.

  • It facilitates online surveys and open discussions, encouraging citizen participation.

Data-Driven Policy and Decision Making

  • Government services are improved based on citizen usage data and feedback.

Accessible and Multi-Device Compatible Design

  • The platform is developed to be easily accessible across all types of devices, including smartphones, tablets, and computers.
  • It has been designed with accessibility in mind for citizens with disabilities.

To ensure the effective operation of the unified government websites, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Communications, in collaboration with the Training Department of the "E-Mongol Academy" state owned enterprise, Training and Public Relations Division, continues to organize training sessions for civil servants (including senior officials and IT staff) from 16 ministries, 35 government agencies, and 21 local government organizations across the country.
