The “Open Data Hackathon” competition continues

The goal of creating a prototype to solve problems in the healthcare sector based on open data was initiated by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Communication, in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JAICA), the National Information and Technology Park, and the Business Innovation Department. The “Hackathon-2024” competition, organized by the Capital Health Development Center, started on September 2, 2024, and successfully continued into its second day.

Participating teams are tasked with developing business models using open data to address healthcare challenges and contribute to the improvement of public services. This involves combining relevant web data and APIs, which allow access to and utilization of data from other sources along with open data.

A total of seven teams are participating in the competition. As part of the projects that each team plans to implement in the healthcare sector, H. Enkhmanlai, Head of the Intersectoral Coordination Department at “E-Mongolia” a state-owned enterprise, and B. Erdenebayar, Head of the System Integration Department, provided guidance and information to the teams.
